We bought “Waveney” a 1972 Westerly Longbow 31ft fin keeled Masthead Sloop in 2002.
We have made many changes to Waveney over time to make her more comfortable for life aboard and would love to share this with you.
Home Made Boat Solar Gantry
We wanted it to be able to hoist our dingy out of the water, raise and lower the outboard motor, hold solar panels, and provide some shade.
Roof Linings
We removed all the drooping roof linings, windows, and side linings. Replaced the side liningsand wooden battens on the roof, re-sealed the windows, and refitted them.
Flooring
The boat came with dreadful carpet tiles so straight in the bin and down with beautiful hardwood flooring.
We have done so much other work since we replaced the old Volvo MD2B with a nice shiny Beta Marine engine, fitted a DSC VHF, NASA Marine instruments, made a cupbord for the heads, cupboards in the fore cabin, and much more!
